(Here's a big picture)That nasty painted background was really bothering me so I chopped it all away and bound the edge with what I think is silk ribbon. I threw away the band that came around the spool and I know I won't remember to look for it again (at 4.95 a ball!) the next time I am at HoAnns. Finally found a place to use those colored Biwa pearls that I always buy more of at every bead show but I am stymied. The embellishment on this one is approaching the "Frosting" state and I want to stop before I have to rip it all out and yet there's still something missing, something to tie it all together.

How about putting a ribbon through it and wearing it around your neck as a large pendant?? Would be a traffic-stopper.
This looks much better with the shaped edges. You made a good decision!

As we used to say "far out" very groovy. I am sure I wore something like this in 1969...glad to see you are mixing it in with a quilt..very avant garde.
