My Simple Still Life

I was up early cleaning house on my laptop when I came across this file and had my first DOH! moment of the day. I made several of these for Debra's Simple Still Life Challenge and now I may have qualified for the latest entry. I remember I was more thrilled about installing that pretty little pear button on my blog than I was reading and/or following directions, as usual. Can you see the original in there? It's there, really.

I can glimpse the original in there! Very cool. I can't tell the media from the online photo. Is it fabric, paper, digital...?

It is digital but now that I look at it with :fiber eyes: I can see that some kind of strip piecing would get the job done. I use a program called Paint Shop Pro, an older version that I am comfortable with. First I messed about with the color/hue/intensity until I found a pallatte that I like then I sectioned, mirrored and flipped each concentric rectangle working my way in from the outer edges.

Today is the first time I'm reading your blog, so these are all new discoveries to me. Love how you cut and rearranged the photo! Look forward to seeing what you do with this month's challege.
